Family Events

Little U Academy is highly involved in the local community.  We participate in many local events and even host several of our own.  Many of these events are not only for our own students, but for all children in the local community.  At Little U, we believe all children should been given the best opportunities to learn in a fun and safe environment, that is why our motto is “Brilliant Beginnings Start Here”.  Below are some of our upcoming and past events; hope to see your family soon.

Upcoming Events:

January 26, 2012: Little U Academy's Open House from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Our Open House is for Preschool Round Up & Registration.  Come and meet the Little U Academy teachers, learn about our programs, and see the school's classrooms and gymnasium.

Past Events:

November 19, 2011: The picture above was taken at the 2011 Winter Lights Festival in Valparaiso, IN.

Many of the Little U Academy teachers and staff volunteered their time to be "Santa's Helper" for the event by helping out in the Santa Workshop (sponsored by Little U Academy) by reading stories, organizing reindeer games, and gathering Christmas Lists for Santa.

October 21, 2011: The picture above was taken at Little U's Harvest Festival.

During the Fall, Little U Academy has its own Havest Festival.  There were many games and prizes for kids of all ages; including a cake walk which many of our own parents and grandparents baked for to make it a great success.  Also, one of our own parents brought a huge tractor and trailer, so everyone could enjoy hayrides outside.

Little U Academy's teachers and students celebrated the end of the summer program with Hot Dog Day.  A fun day filled with water fun, field games, an ice cream celebration, and many many Hot Dogs!!  The staff created fun t-shirts for everyone to highlight the day.

July 20, 2011: The picture above was taken at the a local bowling alley in Valparaiso, IN.

This event was part of our Summer Program, where students participated in several hours of bowling.  Some came as first timers, some as little pros, but they all had a fun time.

July 12, 2011: The picture above was taken at the local Valparaiso Firehouse.

This event was part of our Summer Program, where students enjoyed meeting local heros.  The children learned home fire safety, took a tour of the firehouse, see all the fire equipment, and took part in the "smoke house".  With this, the students were able to use their new skills and apply them to a simulated event; so, the children would not panic in a true emergency situation.  Many thanks to all our local heros!

June 23, 2011: The picture above was taken at the Rail Cats game.

This event was part of our Summer Program, where students enjoyed a great American past time.  The students had "a ball" meeting and taking a photo with Rusty.  The students cheered for the team...Rail Cats win!
