BETTER EDUCATION FOR BRILLIANT BEGINNINGS

Educational Programs: Specially designed, age appropriate, programs that not only meet, but exceed current licensed child care standards.  Little U’s educational programs include STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) and the arts. The programs contain the eight basic head start domains (literacy, mathematics, science, creative arts, language development, social & emotional development, physical health and development), plus Sign Language and music all prior to entering kindergarten.

State License: State licensed centers follow the most rigorous rules and regulations (in comparison to ministries and homes). The State of Indiana continuously monitors and approves our educational curriculum, nutritional programs, and staff to child ratios. We did our homework and then some. As designed, Little U Academy meets and exceeds all current state regulations for child care centers.

Large Playgrounds: Playgrounds include fenced in areas with state approved and age appropriate equipment specially engineered for the safety and development of your child.

Security & Safety: Our facility utilizes state-of-the-art video technology, networked intercom systems, and parent entry codes to keep children safe.  Knowing your child attends a technologically advanced facility provides you with a piece of mind.

Gymnasium: Children need exercise to help their bodies grow heathy. Little U stands above any other licensed center in Porter County. Our facility contains an indoor gymnasium for days that are too hot, too cold or too rainy.

Meals and Snacks: Keeping the children fueled-up and ready for learning is important. No need to pack a lunch, because your child’s tuition already includes our “home cooked”, nutritionally balanced meals and snacks prepared daily by our ServSafe certified staff. The infant tuition even includes baby food for your little one.

Professional Staff: Our staff takes a positive interest in your child’s preschool learning, so every room has an assigned lead teacher.  Offering a variety of teaching methods engages preschoolers to learn across many environments.  If an emergency occurs, our trained staff members can quickly react to first aid and CPR situations. Prior to and during employment, each Little U employee obtains a background check and drug screening (among other criteria). Our staff exceeds state requirements and completes a minimum of 20 clock hours of continuing education annually.

Communication: Communication with parents facilitates mutual teaching both at Little U and at home. Awareness and assessment of all developmental areas is vital to your child’s success. Therefore, we share developmentally appropriate progress reports with the parents and highly promote an open channel of communication.

Payment Convenience: We accept credit and debit cards. We also accept CCDF (Indiana vouchers) and Military vouchers.

Convenient Location: Our facility location gives you easy access from Indiana Route 2 or U.S. Highway 30. We are just east of Indiana Route 49.

Parental Gratification: Seeing your child grow and flourish physically, mentally, socially and emotionally gives parents a sense of accomplishment. We work to provide for our children and family; that is where Little U can lend you a hand.  Parents will be able to focus on their tasks during their busy daily schedule knowing that your child has been provided the best opportunities to learn in a fun, safe, and loving environment.
